Title: Elf Hero
Name: Norbert Fuchs
Country: Hungary
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop
The image shows an elf hero, chased by the evil wizard's minions, waiting for the first of his chasers to show up and let that arrow fly... Done in 3dsMax, Mentalray and using Photoshop to paint the textures.
Mental Ray is quite good (apart from the bugs I faced during the creation).

Very nice modeling, only probolem i have is that the face looks without feeling...maybe a new face pose would work better

yeb, got to agree. if u compare the face/head with the rest, there seems to be something wrong.
the face/head is kind of steril and lifeless.
the rest is very well done.i like the colors and the rendering.

great job on his cloth and texturing!
because of is lifeless face.. maybe he should pinch together his eyes because of concentration and show his teeth in anger and fear. war and battles are full of emotions: grind, sandness, triumph, fear and so on. maybe you should choose one these feelings to give him life and give your picture the final touch.
great job
(hope you undestand a little bit, the google translator was my friend :) )

Hi!
minminxu: Thank you! I'm happy you like it (his look is based on my face) :)
blz: Thanks
take2: Yes, you are right. I could but I won't touch this one anymore. I learnt a lot, so the next character will be full of emotion (that other viewers can feel too). Thanks for the criticism!

Great work meaan :) It looks awesome!! Except expressionless face, the only thing that bothers me is tension of the bow. For a bow that is ready for loose, it doesn't look tight enough.
Anyway, i love it :applause:
Keep good working

your pic is not bad, it's much work behind it, keep it up, dude...
BUT, and, ehm, the arow has to be on the right side of the bow, that's wrong:)

first of all great model!
secondly, and just because i used to do archery so im picky in that area,
1. the actual position you hold the string while aiming is generally with your hand under or just below / besied your chin, not way out where his is
2. the arrow has to be on the other side of the bow :)
that would just give it a bit more realism, other then that awesome :D

Thanks guys, I didn't knew that :D!
Let's say he is an ultimate archer and developed his ultimate technique (maybe he shoots himself with it but hey...fantasy) :D

Maybe he looks blank because he just realised he's in the wrong castle.
"Mike? What are you doing here?"
"I might ask you the same question....."
