Hi folks,
I just finished an animated storyboard in 16:9 format.
For feedback purposes I need a .mov of the entire comp with the correct aspect ratio.
So, naturally, I tried exporting the whole thing.
The big surprise catching up with me was that the finished file would only be screened in stretched 4:3 by any player.
The composition settings are just correct. But the Video Output Menu doesn't display any widescreen option for rendering and always restricts aspect ratio to 5:4. Which is fine as long as the D1 pixels are used. But video players like Quicktime, Divx, etc. don't seem
to autostretch the 5:4 to 16:9. Do I have to use a custom pixel resolution directly
matching the 16:9 ratio or is there a way to render in PAL D1/widescreen at 5:4 which
is displayed correctly on Mac and PC when viewed with the aforementioned video players?
Thanks for reading, guys.
