I have a problem with my viewport.
Let me explain - I'm running a Dual 850, with a Gforce GTS 2.
I'm using the Nvidia Detonator Drivers 3.82......with 1600x1200 resolution .......it worked perfectly before, and they have been tested for Maya.....
My current problem :
When I start Maya, my window is not maximized (the window sits like a 1280x1024, which is normal), then I move around my perspective viewport (single view), the performance are great and the viewport reacts has expected.
But as soon as I maximize the viewport to my desktop (1600x1200), my perspective viewport becomes extremly sluggish (even with an empty scene).
It's almost like the OpenGl can't handle 1600x1200.
But if I reduce my maya window to a smaller size, and refresh my screen (go to quadview then to single view again ) everything is smooth and run perfectly.
Everything works great when I'm in quadview, I guess because the openGl handles only a small area.
PS: If my resolution is 1280x1024 everything works great !
I've been using this card for not very long (I know it's an old one),but it's a free computer from work !!
I'm sure the card is supposed to handle 1600x1200 OpenGl.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
