Thermalright SK-6 is the infamous king, SLK-800 being the best on the market now. Next step up is Swiftech. Coolermasters are decent for OEM setups, but don't bode well under load (don't dissapate heat efficiently), from my experiences and testing, they are on the lowerend of the spectrum. I use SLK-800s on all the systems I ship out. High end workstaions get Swiftech MCX462s. If you get a Thermalright, you have to buy a fan for it, I would go with YStech or Vantec 80mm fans. I never liked Coolermaster stock fans. AMDs put off alot of heat, and copper transfers heat the best right now, so stick with copper. Coolermasters are all aluminum.

Not true! Coolermaster makes a couple different coolers that use copper.

You can find most of them on www.newegg.com.

My fav coolermaster fan was a HHC-001 Heatpipe. Its pretty dang efficent, but its also INCREDIBLY LOUD.

You can slap on 60-80mm fan funnel, and a nice 80mm fan to lower the noise, but by the time you add up that additional cost, you could have gotten an SK7 or a AX7 for less money. (Which would still be the more efficent cooler).

Looks something like this. The adapter is on the left.

I've since switched to all thermalright products. I'd avoid coolermaster alumnium heatsinks if possible.

Guys have a look at this one just shipped (1011)this (http://www.proside.co.jp/o_parts/blueice/) (in japanese) or babelfished here (http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn?urltext=http://www.proside.co.jp/o_parts/blueice//&language=en)
Its a hybrid cooler named CP100 blue ice from proside.
I' ve tried to mail the guys a couple of times but no luck till now...:annoyed:

And here is another one -impressive i may add- and a bit old: Kendon CPU radiator (http://www.kendon.com/F-kr2.htm) Japanese also.

I didnt succeed on finding some tests for any of them.., any of you guys know something?

Yes...The Radiator design was pretty medicore. Very very expensive, and beaten by most of the cheaper designs.

You can see one of the radiator designs in the overall list. Its about half way down.

Here's some other neat coolers to check out at frostytech.

Damn Gregg, it seems like you and I always "pick" the same equipment. I mentioned this cooler to someone here just a few days ago, but didn't recall the model.

This is a nifty little cooler and fits basically about everything, even boards with poorly placed components right up against the sockets.

They are expensive, 39.95 retail, but eBay will turn them up for around 25.00.

I got my SLK-800 on eBay for 33.00 as opposed to the retail of 49.95

Thisa would be a good heatsink to use on the nForce2 boards if you get it for a good price, presuming you don't want to spend the bucks for an SLK-800.

Great minds think alike :).
