View Full Version : Morph targets: do everything twice?

I am rigging a character for animation [in Max 5], and I am making the morph targets, modeling the eyelid closing for the left eye, and then, repeating the exact same modification for the right eye.

Mirroring the object once one side is modified is useless, because Morpher knows which vertices were modified independently from size, rotation or mirroring of the object.

Do I have to make all the symmetrical targets twice?
Any help will be most appreciated.

your trying too hard...

just do them seperatly...perfection doesn't look real and is a trap of an artist.

but...if you must do it just the same then just select the same verts and right click on the move tool and use the manual entry to get them perfectly the exact same...like a robot, not a human...

really just relax:bounce:

..or snap verts to a lined up mirrored copy.

Theres probably a simpler way, I just don't work with morph targets very often hehe.
