heres a pilot i did a while ago, think i might resurect him.

his vital stats are, 2,500 polys, 1X512X512 diffuse map, fully rigged body.

C&C welcome

any ideas on what to accesorise him with. needs a bit more something.

Put the wires man! So we can see the details! I sugest a flat and normal shaded material only to make easy to see!

first ive gotta find the bugger, this is an old render, i have to find which back up disc the scene is on i now its in a pile of about five DVDs. will try to get it for tomorrow.

Nice work, Shapeiro-

Out of curiosity, where did you learn the toon shading? I found a few tutorials here on cgtalk, but it seems everyone has a different method. And what did you use to render it? I hear Mental Ray is the way to go with toon shading, but I havent had a chance to use it yet.

hey i just slapped a Ink Paint shader material on it in max, used a map for the lighted portion and changed the amount of levels to 3.

vois la.

heres some pics of the pilot in a plane, kind of based on the curtis sea plane. its 2000 tris with a 512* diff map.

That's a funky pilot! hehe, my only crit would be about his bicep being too small compared to his forearm, but i can live with it if it's a design choice ;). Now, how about some wires?
