View Full Version : Weird image being saved
707wolf 10-04-2005, 04:35 PM Every time i render a scene and go to save the image, the colors completely change. The render image is fine but when i save the image and go to open it in photoshop the colors are completely different. I tried to save it in all three catagories rgba, exposed, and resampled in different formats. Why is it changing the colors?

What do you mean "completely different?" I would guess Photoshop's color management is changing the way they appear when opened. I suggest disabling the color management or opening the image up in a program that won't change the appearance.
If the problem still occurs after that, then I dunno.

thanks for the help. no its different in any program i open it with. I was basically trying to create a "blood cell" scene and the saved image opens up with all the red being green? but its completely fine in lw and when i render it as a video it is also fine.

One question - What *file format* are you saving as?
I would suggest also trying to save it as different file formats and see if its a particular file type that is screwing up (Getting the RGB orders all mixed up?).
For instance, I'd avoid BMP32 - I know these aren't readable in some graphics apps (well, a lot from what I can tell) and I can't recall an Alpha capability being mentioned in BMP's file specification - But I could be wrong on that last bit as its been a LONG time since I looked at file formats. :D
