Animatable extrude along spline

why do you need a script to do this? I would just do it by setting keys?

In my job we have to make a lot of extrusions for a industrial animation project, we dont like thet lofts, because they have problems with the caps. The editpoly modifier anim option isn't a solution. We need to show how a cable or a wire grows up along a path. It's only a tool to make easier our work.
