Well, here's a quick concept sketch for the next Godswar mesh I'll be working on - the Garuda. The clothing is ROUGHLY based on various Hindu and Vedic depictions of the various deities in the pantheon, and the ruff of feathers coming off his back going up was inspired by a Thai variant. The wings are folded in this sketch, but will be fully functional in the mesh.
Some time tomorrow, I'll be posting the colored concept sketch. There will be more detail in the belt, collar, and other "jewelry" accessories, and some of the lines will be a bit more cleaned up. Then I'll get to work on modelling the actual figure. I'm going to try to aim for a max of 2000 polygons, and a max of two 512 texture sheets (the second alpha'ed) - one for the body and clothes, the second for the wings and the feathered decoration on the back.

Please forgive the messiness of the feathered areas, it's basically a pencil sketch scanned in, and cleaned up A LITTLE in Photoshop...
