View Full Version : XSI5: is possible to make a layout 1024x768 be autohide?
TiAGoMac 10-04-2005, 05:57 AM my doubt is that my desktop only suports 1024x768... in the new XSI 5.0 i can use a layout to this desktop, but in XSI 4.2 i did used auto hide, and i want to use this function of autohide in this layout too... it is possible?

yes, but you'll have to edit the XML file yourself as, apparently, it was too tricky to put that in the layout editor.
check out the standard autohide layout and mimic that format in whatever other layout you want to put it in, and you should be fine.
off the top of my head I think the tag is <autohide>
and nested inside that tag you can have a <section> tag with a side and activationarea(or something like that) properties
check in:
C:\Softimage\version\Application\layouts for the files and open it with a text editor, it's plain XML formatted text.

the file is: 1024_x_768.xsily
i opened in a text editor and copy and past the code of the autohide, but don't work... it continue visible and when i pass the mouse comes a new table but not configured in 1024... :(

make an effort and try to spend more then 5 minutes on it, I'm sure you'll manage.
sorry to say so, but I don't have the time to start assembling layouts for everybody on the forum ;)

sorry, i think that u didn't understand me
i didn't come here to request a ready 1024x768autohide file... i only come here to request a help how to make it...
but thanks you, i'll try more do it here and if i make i'll post here for who need it.
