HELP WANTED / about maya directory on mac.

I'm not so familiar with mel scripts or about installing custom shaders and I'm trying to do so on a mac g5, the problem is I can't seem to find the right directory or path to put the .mll files or xpm, on the apropiate directory of the mac, are this folders hidden?

PLEASE SOMEBODY WITH KNOWLEDGE OF MAYA AND MACS HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP

first of all I am sorry to say that a .mll file will not work on a mac. The .mll file extension means that it is compiled for windows. To work on a mac it needs to be compiled for mac and labeled with a .lib file extension.

the plugin directory for the .lib files is

/Users/Shared/Alias/maya/plug-ins or
/Users/Shared/Alias/maya/X.X/plug-ins

the directory for the xpm icons is here:

/Users/Shared/Alias/maya/icons/ or
/Users/Shared/Alias/maya/X.X/icons/

Best of luck,
Brad
