Er...most m/b support at least a gig of RAM, most have 4 slots. Some have three.
And there are 1 GB sticks, 2 GB sticks(Hard to find) too...
Can some please recommend a pc motherboard that houses a very high capacity of DDRAM space Well if you're aiming for a motherboard that supports a HIGH ammount of ram, then you're probably looking at the Tyan K8QW :P With 16 memory banks it can hold 64GB, and with the daughter board it can hold another 16 banks, giving you 128GB total, and 8 CPU sockets.

Please realize that you will not be able to use Windows XP or XP 64 with this motherboard. XP pro and XP64, both only support two CPU sockets (they support dual dual core CPUs though). You will need Windows Server to utilize the full power of these systems, and that is not cheap.
Either that or go for linux.
BTW: That Tyan K8QW supports PCIe, in fact it has two PCIe x16 slots (though one is only a x4 signal). So it supports the latest and greatest graphics cards (probably not SLI).
