Ok for a while now ive been trying to figure out how to pull of the type of distortion Trent pulls off in most of his logos album covers and such.

Here are some examples

and then also in his tour banners he seems to always use the effect

If anybody has any idea how to pull this off or thinks they know just drop a post.

One way to get that look is to use the wind filter. It works!

CS2 has no wind filter =O.But water paper does a prity good job of it too not quite the same but close.

Not everything has to or can be done with a filter.... can I suggest some manual pixel surgery is a good way to go.

Looks like the Scanline thing, a bit blown up for a wider line, used as a selection to move the pixels in the selection a bit up, down, left or right.

I would try to make some brushes out of those textures, and start with a clean image and start stamping it up. Hope that helps
