Hi,

I have a gigabyte K8NS-Pro mother board. I just got twinX 2 GB memory at 400 MHz. The gigabyte like knowledge base thing says that i can't run it that fast. I need to reduce the speed how do i go about doing that? Im supposed like reduce like the CPU clock speed right? to like 166 but i can't reduce it less then 200Mhz. And yes i have the correct and newest version bios installed .
Here is a link to where it says it in gigabyte:

Thanks

That knowledge base item looks wrong. The 333mhz limit is only when using 4 sticks of double sided memory with an older 64bit amd chip.

Refer to your motherboard manual to make sure that it is happy with that setting - I kow mine won't post with 3 sticks in it, requires 1,2 or 4.
