hey 3d people how are we today??

heres my annoying problem....i have downloaded a cassisni (space veichele nasa stuff) it is dxf format but the strange thing is when i look from the back side of an object it is transparetnt (in other words it can not be seen) but from the front side its there...when i render the image it also dissapears!!

is this strange or is there an answer for this??

They are one sided polys ;)
Somehow a lot of the polys must have gotten flipped, so that their face normals are now facing inwards. Just flip them the other way around :)

hey thanx ..but as a real begginner i cant find that command...can u tell me where to find it from..:)))

heyy i am a pain in the ass....
i just found it...it also works when use the "i force 2 sides" button

Be careful of using 2 sided polys - they take longer to render ;)
You must be using Max - the flip face normals option should be somewhere in your polygon sub-object selection menu.
