Welcome to Cgtalk!

Congratulations on a fantastic piece. I really like the color transitions from foreground to background steps. Very mysterious.

Great painting. :applause:

Very neat :) light-green may not be my favorite colour-scheme, but the image itself is very nice. One of those locations where I could sit for an hour thinking about nothing at all :)

And.. nope :) can't find any points of critique.

I like this very much. It has a definate tone or mood to it.
It kind of reminds me of a background plate to a classic Disney animation.
Of course, it stands on it's own as well without needing any figures in it. :buttrock:

Beautiful, beautiful work. So atmospheric, the perspective looks wonderful with beautiful green foliage there - there is just nothing about this picture that I do not love. 5 stars isn't enough :) a well deserved front page!

A very nice piece, looking forward to seeing more of your creations in the future. I really like almost everything about this image, the colours, the architecture, and vegitation are all nicely rendered, however, I get a feeling that the level of overgrowth is a bit non-uniform across the garden. For example, the trees, slope and walkway on the left seem to have been unmanaged a lot longer than the rest of the area, as the stairs are hardly covered in growth, and especially since the pond looks very clean ( those things get full of water-plants and algae really fast if you don't clean them regularly ;) ). This is just nitpicking though, and maybe there's details that are more easily seen in a larger version? Keep up the great work, I really like seeing more architecture-related pieces here :)

I really like this piece--the technique is great and the lighting quality wonderful. The one thing that bothers me is the building in the back. It's perspective looks way off. Even the elements within the building don't have matching perspectives. The path that goes off to the right also doesn't match the longer path in perspective--it seems to tilt toward the viewer. Did you draw out your perspective lines when drawing this? If you fixed the perspective issues it would really knock this piece out of the park. Otherwise, good work.

Hello,

I would like to use your image as reference for a 3D model for my demo reel. I will give you (Simon Gustaffson) full credit for the painting.

If you agree, a high-resolution image would be appreciated, but not necessary.

Thank you in advance!
