View Full Version : Cel shading advice
AngelDream 09-27-2005, 02:30 AM How can I improve this cel shade? I think it shouldn't have those creases in the mouth. Thanks

I think you need to start by smothing out the geometry. maybe you could also lower the amount of the outline-gradient to get a smoother edge, you could try to use it togeather with LW edges if you are not already. otherwise I think you are off to a good start.

Thank you magnus. I really think that I should smooth the geometry on the cheeks area, the two color shading is a mess there. I read something from Jennifer saying that the geometry should be a little flattened, anyone can explain it to me?

I've started a cel-shading community were I hope to address these issues. I'm trying to put together as many resources on the topic as I can find to help everyone produce better results. Check it out at: http://www.cybercoalition.com (http://www.cybercoalition.com/) and feel free to contribute to the site.
