I have a ball rolling down a hill. At the end of the hill I want the ball to fall down onto a spring-board where it bounces off. The spring board should ease and then move up to its start position.

The spring board has to move vertically only!

I tried to take a box with a spring helper, but couldn't achieve the designated effect, neither with 4 springs one at each corner of the box.

Thanks for your solutions :)

edit: I mean this by spring-board. You'd rather call it "spring base"

Hhmmm. I'd link the platform to the cylinder. then apply the spring dynamics anchored to the platform then the bottom on a plane (ground) object... Then just animate the shaft by hand. pose the ball at it's lowest point first then hold the platform until the ball contacts it and just pose it down at the ball level. Then just launch it!

If you're lucky you're using max...
