what do you mean?
You can't select edgeloops with Maya out of the box?
Try select continous edges as long as they work ;]
But Its really not the same. For real edgeloop selecting crawl for OMTools (http://jakob.welner.dk/omtoolbox/docs/), MJPolytools (http://www.maya3d.dk/Scripts/MJPolyTools/)or koshigaya script suite (http://koshigaya.de/). The first two are only scripts. Koshigaya is a real programmed Plugin.

-thematt, darn im using maya6, i'll download one of those plugs, thanx :)
-my understanding of an edge loop is just like inserting an isoparm on a nurbs surface, from an exsisting one, dragging it into place. Like the second picture below. So with Koshigaya script suite (http://koshigaya.de/) I will be able to do that?

With OMTools at least you can do exactly that, dunno about the others.
