CGTalk - Maxscript on Win98

Hey,

I have a computer that has Windows98 on it; however, I cannot run max, being that I don't have a legal version of max 4 or less. I was wondering if there is a way I can run some sort of MaxScript Emulator on Win98, or if I could write and run scripts on my Win98 machine?

(My WinXP computer is in the shop for quite some time)

Excuse my french but maybe 'gmax' might have scripting support?

And from my knowledge Discreet never bothered to update it from the Max 3 (or maybe 4) Kernel.

However any script written for max 4 might have a pretty high chance of not working in max 7.
