I don't post often but I liked this concept and thought I'd share with the board and get some feedback. I did this while at work and used Painter 6. Thanks for looking.

Wow, that's some kind of spiky creature! :) Looks like he just got done doing something...socially unacceptable...

This is a cool design! Though it's a little difficult for me to tell what exactly that "hair" is doing, it matches the waist well, so that' s cool. By the way, is he wearing armor, or is that his skin? It makes me think of rhinoceroses. Rhinoceri? More than one rhinoceros. :D

You're right. It's skin and armor and flesh. I wanted to go for wierd and strange with this one. With nothing making sense. And yeah, the hair is something that I just stared at trying to figure out what it was. It was just so wierd that I kept it. I thought it looked like he had a plant on his head :)

THATS what it (the hair-thing) reminded me of! A fern! There was something about it earlier I just couldn't put my finger on. I think this was it. Ah, no restless sleep tonight! :thumbsup:
