Title: Cave Of Eternity
Name: Kok Mun How
Country: Malaysia
Software: Photoshop

hi all,
first of all i would like to thanks all for viewomg my piece. My concept of this paiting is about this turtle who wants to live forever. He was told that there is a "eternity pearl" in a cave some where far far away.

i captured the moment that he's inside the cave, and there's actually a monster guiding the pearl if you can see..

welcome any critiques, and thanks in advace!. :) all of your critiques are most apprecieate!

Whoa! Very nice!

My favorite part is that wicked cave, which my eye goes directly too-- which may be a bad thing. Your control on where you want the viewer to focus is a little shaky. You probably want the audience to go right to the heroic protagonist turtle gallantly continuing his quest in the foreground, but the eye bounces around at all the visual interest. I suggest you darken the background (especially the right side) to pump up the contrast with the glowing sword. The more dark, the more the visual pop of the mystical weapon.

Other than that, it is nicely accomplished. I really dig the soulful sketchiness too... gives it "voice."

Oh yeah, one more thing, the slanted frame of reference may be too severe. I found myself tilting my head expecting the turtle to tumble out of frame. Sure its dramatic and good for tension, but it is at the fine line of "just enough" and "too much"
