View Full Version : scene manager-update for 9.5?
lllab 09-24-2005, 10:26 AM scene manager isnt working correctly anymore here with 9.5.
i love this plugin from samir. can anybody confirm this, so that i can tell it samir- just to make sure it is not a problem only by myself...
i guess it needs a tiny update for using it under 9.5.
(for all who dont have scene manager-get it! it is unbelievable impoving your workflow.)
thanks
cheers

hi Adam,
when i use shift click to transport hierachries and then bring em back, all objects are somewhere messed up in space, not in their original place i mean...
is this also working on your c4d?
i am too on winxp.
cheers

No, objects come back in the right place. But, and I don't remember if it did this in 9.1, objects in the SOE scene are moved to world 0 and rotated Y-up, which is a drag.

hmm, strange...
well that they are moved to 0 was normal, i remember, but not rotated!
here the object position is totally wrong when bringing back?!
guess i have to call samir...
thanks

My favorite function of SM is it's ability to copy p/s/r data from camera objects to the editor camera. It allows you to navigate your scene and make changes to models/textures without screwing up your render cameras. Say for instance you have a flythrough camera and during the animation you notice a problem with some geometry. Instead of having to navigate the editor camera to the spot in order to make the corrections, you can just copy the flythrough cam's p/s/r to the editor cam. Love that.

will check that problem for the next update of SceneManager. (although I couldnīt encounter any problems myself so far)
After DPIT 3.1 is ready, Valise will get an update, then RulerTools gets a tiny update and then SceneManager has its turn.
