I second mdme_sadie's reply.
In fact, when I burn a CD for a PC user I delete these first.

Do a search on Versiontracker.com for De_DDS. This freeware program deletes the .DS_Store files from a user selected folder.

Also note that if you have Dreamweaver MX2004 there's a 'bug' that gives a complete file listing when you do a 'Save As.' I use this sometimes to spot hidden files.
