hey xavier!
nice sketch!

if u dont feel confident enough to do a realistic model, have a go at a more cartoony version!

either way is great practice!

I think you do have the talent to do it.It is a nice sketch as well. Maybe a bit inbetween the real World and the toon World would be more fun. Just a thought. Good luck Iquiniz.X.

To ALL REPLIES>> Thanks for the encouragemetn every body. It surly will help me to push me "before getting anoid" to a other level ( really can't come up with the right word for it..Temper?? <maybe)
Yesterday I tried a head but I get really stuck when I mesh smooth it becauses in some way the whole shape gets lost which I tried to produce really weard.. I guess I have to understand the mesh smooth better for a head or make the head bigger( is scale )
well I'll post later some pics so you might understand it but for now I feel confident enough for a other try on my head >> thanks again. :wavey:

After some hours of moddeling and following I've come up with this... I aswell folowed the tutorial of WIRO (<< Special Thanks to him for his excelent TUTORIAL) For now I say it is to detailed and real life but it is a good practice though. I call it i quit for today and tomorrow some more moddeling.

Hey for not having any experience in head modeling this is really good! You should see the first head i ever made...:surprised From your drawing you obviously understand the anatomy of the head, so I think learning exactly how mesh smoothing works is going to be the best thing you could do. It REALLY helped me a lot. What program are you using?

Rye >> Yes your are right I have some basic knolage of a head. 2 years ago I made a head in clay and then turned it into gipsy ( the withe stuff) so I think that helps a lot but I must say that making a head in clay was a lot easyier even if it took longerI'm using >>3DS MAX4.0<< And yes I would ike to c your first head ever made.. plz a small image or a link

then tunring over to MARK>> Well your first head isn't that bad
Mesh shot well I post one later... Do you know how to render a wireframe shot so it is in the render a wireframe?

Carina>> Lol and thanks

Looking to have expereience to me Iquinez.X.......

Doing a fine job, don't ever under-estimate yourself.I think from looking at your past work and now this organic head work you do have quite a bit of talent. Keep going,it's going to be very nice. A very good start. Keep up the good work.........:applause:

Virtuoso>> Thanks a lot for the compliment.. that coming from you means a lot to me. Will you join anny challenge or are you to bussy with creating your own world. ( i mean from the book)

Been doing a other head today. I wasn't really satisfied with the last one cos the mouth was weard and when I rotate the head some parts were looking wrong done.
This one is also less reall life so I think it fits the challenge better.
addede the glasses of the sunglases to give a small exsample..

Finally figured out how to render a wire shot>>

Hey, not bad!
For the sake of simplicity, delete the bottom polygons. Gives a nicer "cut off"-effect, rather than a "sawn stump"-effect.
But it looks like your going up the foto-realistic way, exagurate some features (mirrir time for you :p ).
Anyway, keep it up and have fun!

Joril>> For the sake of simplicity, delete the bottom polygons. Gives a nicer "cut off"-effect, rather than a "sawn stump"-effect. "sawn stump"-effect LOL ^^

Yes I agree, but I don't know if I need those Polygosn later so I kept them.. but I could have deleted them for the render
I think of making the body smaller then usual but I must say I find it hard to make it more toon and keep my characteristic features. ?????What the hell is mirrir?????

3 >>Yes we are, aren't we? And thanks for the support.. Maybe a stupid question but. Have you seen amelie Poulain?

1week before my own PC :bounce: counting down

Yeah I've seen it, and I've fallen in love with it :D The colours! Oooh...
Besides, she's not too shabby herself :D
Man, I can watch that movie over and over again, it's got the best intro I've seen, since Magnolia... still, Magnolia's a bit higher on my list. It's allways fun to see Tom Cruise as a rabit womenhater... puts a little edge on things. :D

Now, update this and I want to see what you really look like too... I've put up one at my thread. <looks at meaningly>

Rock on dude

I mean the morral of the movie is: Life ain't screwing..
Well since you have seen A P go and c Amores Perros. If you haven't seen it already.
Updates eh.. they are comming this weekend. Next week I get a own PC so I don't heave to go home anymore to moddel, 6days to go before I get it. :wip:
