View Full Version : How to mirror Weight Maps?
Perambulator 11-09-2002, 05:54 PM Hi All!
Could anyone be kind enough to tell me how you mirror weight maps?
I have a character with two identical sides, and I have done the weight maps for the bones in his left arm and left leg heirarchy.
He is symmetrical, so I'd like to mirror the weight maps I have created.
Grateful for help ! A plugin/lscript that does this would be marvellous!
Cheers
Richard

Either that or when you paint the object turn symmetry on "Y". Then begin painting.

Guys,
Thanks for all of your suggestions. Using a combination of the suggested plugins and manual labour, I have managed to mirror my maps.
Now all I've got to do is to refine the maps, get IK working, and we will have a animatable Yoda!
Thanks a lot
Rich
