...it was releif. That weapon only which can rid us of those scam. A scam nobody can say where it came from, but it continues to populate our moon…
…it is strange how those creatures can survive up there, but one was certain they are not dependent from oxygen. All the diseases and mutations caused by them was very awful picture. I can remember the first appearing and symptoms of this diseases, and I wish I couldn’t.
In the beginning nobody had an idea what is going on, until the moon motion scanner results were done. Then came a mass panic which cost us much. It seams that for the terrorists this information appears like signal rocket for their actions. Lots of weapons was build to fight against the aliens, but they wasn’t use for right purpose, and the nature was going vanish. All of the remaining human population was forced by the circumstances to go beneath the planet surface, which through the years weaken human bodies. After all, humanity seemed to get a grip, and show some conscious actions with building the ultimate weapon which have to destroy the moon and the infection about it.
Well that was a complex project contained by very and important details, included lots manufacture spread on vast of the planet surface. The concept was to strafe the moon consequently with photon rays generated by six main weapons causing destruction of the sphere. Afterwards when the remaining blocks start falling toward the earth is turn to secondary hundreds of smaller guns which task is to break the falling remainings into harmless particles and thus the atmosphere take the rest of them. The possibilities for any alien forms to reach the earth after the actions was reduced by special gas which couldn’t harm us, but would be deadly for them. This gas was spread among the atmosphere in shape of clouds with strange color, actually the color was dependable from the angle of light that reached them, and that made the clouds to look spectacular, and all of them stands a background for the really spectacular view – the breaking of the moon.
......
I'm not so good in english so please excuse me if there are any mistakes.

Nice story, nice sketch. Welcome to the challenge ;)

Hmmm, this could be a very appropriate concept. I like the overall idea. You would need a way of showing the infection on the moon, maybe a mold-like growth spreading over the surface, getting incinerated by the ray.

cool~a nice one u've got!the composition looks almost similar to mine~hehe~good luck to ya mate!:scream:i'll be looking forward to this

still looking for the proper colors... i'm trying to achieve high perspective effect to exalt the vastness of the picture...the enlarged moon seams to appear unreal, but i'll leave it like this because it suppose to stand as an center of the composition, and look much spectacular of course..

I'm still not satisfied with the colors in some places...keep thighten the image and took a pic of the moon for reference...of course I wont use it in my picture, just need to peek from somewhere because here the weather is too cloudy

i'm thinking about some new design for the cannon, and i think to add roundness of the scene, it will strengthen the sence of wide space...but i'm not quite sure about the second

very cool idea, nice colors, there is something that bugs me with the perspective, not sure but I think the moon is to close, mybe shrink it a bit and make the huge explosion, just thinking, good luck :)

asparta
09-25-2005, 10:33 PM
Korline - you're right about the perspective, now i'm working on it, i don't want to use straight lines to form the perspective...about the moon - it looks large because it's the accent of the composition, i think if it gets smaller then wont have the same influence...and i'm thinking about some explosions...thnx for the opinion

nice angle, nice tilt. Maybe tad too dark color scheme, you don't have light values in this one. You should have your contrast ranging from almost white to almost black in this kind of scene (and in most sceneries)

little bit more roundness...the goal was to acheave some wide space atmosphere, but it's close more to the idea of someone's sight...i'll find that to my liking.

Great concept, original and I like the opint of view; maybe could it be more readable with some backlights ??

Ranath - you know, i've been thinking about such thing like nice histogram, but it seams it's too hard to handle for now because can't feal the balance...
...i'll try in future

ChrisThatGuy - this is good proposal, sounds like Zerg species to me...i will work on it

here i made some changes with the pic aspect, and i'll cut the idea about the roundness of the view...but i thought it would be of interest for the concept to involve some close ups of human bodies to represent the situation more clear...i'm not quite shure about the composition, but at this stage it will be like this.

still stands too dark to me...i'm not sattisfied with the histogram. I'll try to make matte kind of painting and i honestly i don't know where this striving going to drop me

:) Hi Asparuh....great concept. I love the angles and perspective....really good mood / atmosphere / lighting... just need to really make the moon dramatic / add a bit more weight....tricky to get when the composition is so wide..amazing work...

Exeptional cool painting already, the histogram shouldnt bother you on this stage too much since you still are coloring ;) i like the dark and mystique feel you have in it, once some more groundfog, haze or whatever global illumination or athmospherics take their effects, the darkness shouldnt be a problem anymore. so far, great work, looking forward to your progress mate, keep on rocking!

Hi! This's a bewitching scene! I like your idea very much! And It seems that the dramatic effect may intensify here if you'll try to add many people of the different age in the foreground. But it's only my opinion! Good luck! :)

Composition wise ive come to the conclusion that trying to create an image with the elements in yours which you want to accent (1, the cracking moon, 2, the sense of wide perspective, and 3, your characters) is of extreme difficulty, and I am not even certain the image will be truly as great as it could be.

The problem with characters at the oblique is they have less character, and I think as an instrument to direct attention, they are redundant. I think your image might be most successful by pulling into a tighter angle from closer to the "tower" and looking up at an even larger moon.

2tacos99cents: thanks buddy...i shall take your proposal into consideration...actualy I thought about it and after you mention it i'll try it for sure

Gonzalo Golpe: I'm realy afraid of doing that, because enhancement of the unreal factor...perhaps i'll do some probes

Atris: this is a good idea too...may be it will work

Naomi: Yeah this is all photoshop and sometimes I regret for not using any texture or other helpful materials, because it makes things easier...and i'm sure keeping that in habit will be very nice for my work...but...

Hi! Reminds me of final fantasy 8.. In that game there is also a moon populated with hords of monsters trying to get across to earth!

Its looking really good so far!: :) About it being to dark, maybe you could make the beam affect the lighting more...? Make it flash the clouds up a bit more. And it could also light up the area of the moon that it hits(a matter of taste).

Good luck!
