I read about this quickly today, I'll check if it mentionned where. But hopefully this is not about cinematics cause we no longer need them in games. Then again they are always good for promotion, but I doubt a studio could run 7 days a week to produce promotional material, so my guess is it will indeed handle in-game as well as prerendered material.

EDIT: Ok it didn't mention where so I guess it's Japan or Korea. But it does say they plan to make animated movies in the line of Square-Enix's, hopefully this trend will continue and we will see more and more CG animated movies not aimed at the Hollywood market.

It's about time the merger with Sammy pays off. Check out Monolith Production's Condemned: Criminal Origins (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1654), published by Sega. It brings some really nice innovation to the FPS genre:)

I beg to differ. Cinematics can enhance the game tenfold if done right. IE: world of warcraft , warhammer , etc.

Yeah I like I said it can be used well as a promotional tool. War Craft's was also displayed as an actual ad on websites and I'm sure it did wonders, I know I watched it a few times:)

It'll be nice to see how will the graphics in Sega video games and amusement park attractions will improve after the studio starts.
I was very impressed with the graphics of "Dark Chapel" (a Joypolis amusement park attraction in Tokyo).
Brief explanation of "Dark Chapel" here : http://www.sega.co.jp/joypolis/tjp_attraction_e.html#darkchapel
