At Siggraph 2005, Softimage previewed SOFTIMAGEŽ|FACE ROBOT™, a new facial animation system that allows 3-D artists to achieve realistic, lifelike facial animation for high-end film, post and games projects. Based on extensive anatomical and animation research, Face Robot uses a groundbreaking new computer model of the soft tissue of the face to mimic the full range of human emotion. Designed with input from leading animation experts, Face Robot gives artists an intuitive way to interact with their characters while providing complete control over details like wrinkles, frowns, flaring nostrils and bulging neck muscles.



We are currently looking for a candidate who will support the Special Projects team in Venice, CA during the productization, documentation and testing phase for the Face Robot system. Your responsibilities will include:


Content creation for facial animation projects
Support of customer presentations and evaluations on site
Testing & documentation of facial animation software
Skills & competencies:

Minimum one year production experience
Very good knowledge of Softimage|XSI
Experience modeling face
Experience animating faces using traditional techniques (shapes, etc.)
High energy level

This position is for a minimum period of 6 months.

The candidate, ideally located in California, must be allowed to work in the U.S. and have a valid work permit for the duration of employment.
