View Full Version : Exclude a Light Source From GI in fR?
Cozmo 09-22-2005, 06:20 PM Hi there, I'm trying to figure out how to exclude a light source from a GI solution in finalRender. I'm using the Image GI mode and I have a particular light,it's a standard max light, that I want out of the solution, or better, be able to control its particular GI properties, if it has any. The problem is that there's a lot of color bleeding and its very saturated, and I know that this specific light is making it happen, it doesn't look very realistic, so I want to narrow it down or get rid of it altogether. Is it possible to do such a thing in fR with lights?
Thanks a lot

Try and go to properties(right clik, then properties) on the object you want to exclude
then i think you can chose to exclude or not to resive GI or just lower it down... i have never tried this but i guess itīll work.. if itīs not in properties then try going in to FRproperties..
you can also exclude it from the light.... lol
Hope it works.

No, it's not working that way, besides I want to exclude the light itself not the object, I have just one object in the secene :)
You could always render in passes(every lightsource seperated) and then tweak the GI effect for every lightsource while compositing.
