Kush Games is the developer of the best-selling, top-rated ESPN NHL 2K5 and recent hit ESPN MLB 2K5. Kush also developed such highly-praised hits as ESPN NHL Hockey 2K4 and ESPN College Hoops 2K4. Currently under develop-ment is the highly anticipated NHL 2K6 for Xbox, PS2 and Xbox 360. Requirements
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- An outstanding portfolio featuring game or movie related samples
- 2+ years game or film development experience preferred
- Console development experience a plus
One or More Additional Skills Required
- Extensive character rigging and animation experience using Maya
- Expertise in low and high-polygon modeling and UV mapping using Maya, of human characters and/or environments
- Superior Photoshop painting and image manipulation skills for texturing 3D models used in real-time games
- Mel scripting and/or Maya API knowledge
- Advanced techniques for next-gen systems including realtime shader design, image based rendering techniques, advanced rigging
We are looking for experienced professionals who are familiar with developing for video games or creating high end artwork for feature films. We particularly need front end artists/ graphic designers, texture artists and technical artists.
We are already hard at work on the next generation console development, so this is a great time to join one of the most successful companies in the videogame industry, with 4 highly rated games across 3 platforms in 2-1/2 years.
Submission Materials
- Submissions must include a cover letter, resume, and portfolio
- Suggested portfolio materials: screenshots, renders, AVIs, MPGs, etc., scans of traditional art, Maya files, texture files
- All samples should include a detailed description of what you were responsible for and the tools used
- Submissions may be made by sending your resume, cover letter, and website link via email
- Email attachments of work samples are acceptable, but must be zipped and less than 5mb
- We will accept VHS tape, CD-ROM and traditional materials at the address below
- Mailed items will not be returned.
