Hi everyone

I just wanted to let you know about a really good animation which I believe is one of the best character animations I have ever seen in a student thesis project.

Don't understand me wrong, Eric Favela is not somebody whom I know or have ever seen, but I do love his artwork and its a pitty that something like this stays anonimious just because it is a 2D animation.

He even comes from another art school than mine, namely CAL Arts (mines is Art Institute of California), so no favoritism here.

If you have chance watch it, but be warned, its a bit ... dirty.

Yeah, awesome animation! Boy, the dog is pretty lonesome to resort to that, kind of remind me of what people would resort to when given in to unhealthy temptation or obsession. The short really reflect a comedic aspect of that. Anyway, the animator has certainly done an excellent piece of animation. Equally important is the opportunity to view other good works by students of Cal Arts as well, a real talented bunch of people, so thanks for sharing!

Hi everyone.
Some 450 downlaods in just 8 hours is not bad at all. I am sure students from Cal Arts especially Eric would be very happy about this. Thanks also for every post, perhaps I find some other good staff.
Best luck with your ongoing projects.

I am so sorry Masnado.
Perhaps disabling the pop-up protection or Nortonvirus can help, or enabling the cookies - some web pages work just with cookies.
There is a lots of great staff to see here.

Same here. I cannot view those. I have tried with QuickTime 7, QT7 Alternative, Firefox, IE, disabled all pop-up killers etc. blockers possible but nothing helps.

Way too hard to watch a simple video...

Can you post a direct link?

I'll try my best, I will see right now.

There is a lots of great staff to see here.Lots of work places block streaming videos via their proxy servers and firewalls.

With out direct links the files can not be downloaded and viewed.

Sort of limits the idea of a demo real when a big chunk of your intended audience can't view it.

P.S. Never did understand the concept of streaming a 5 minute video anyway. Who want's the constant bandwidth drain on their server when someone wants to watch it more than one time?

I was trying to do this but it's streamline - I don't know how to make the direct link.
Another option is look up on google for online festivals, there is a chance you perhaps can view an insert of this great animation, or the whole one. If somebody knows how to do a direct link , please help the rest of community to watch it too.
Sorry, I hope you find another way to watch. Sometimes trying out different computers helps - different computers different settings. Best luck to all.

After many failed attempts with working with QuickTime, I have given up. I'm unable to view any movies on that site.

My tip to Eric is to ink and colour this wonderful short and get it entered. I haven't laughed so much in ages and his characterisation is absolutely magnificent. Genius. One of the best shorts I've ever seen!

if you go to the quick time preferences then to streaming transport then select http, port id:80 it might help, it worked on my computer.

I got it to work by unchecking "Enable Instant-on" and selecting 512 kbps in the "Override speed for downloads" option in the quicktime settings
