Hi,

I'm using Maya 6.0, with mental ray. I want to render a sequence of stills to create an animation. In render global settings, I pick ...

Start Frame 1.0
End Frame 240.0
By Frame 1.0 (what does this even mean? I've left it at the default)
Frame Padding 3

I go to batch render, and all it renders are my first frame, and my last frame. What gives? Where are all the frames in between?

Hi, you need to also change the filename format to something like renderme.###.extension in the dropdown box.

"By Frame" changes the space between each frame it renders, so 1 means render each frame, 2 means render every second frame etc.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

I think something must have been wrong with the scene I was trying to create the animation in. Because I tried it in a new scene and it worked...

So not sure what went wrong, but its working now :)
