well, i found ear model in 3ds format and i wanted to import it into xsi 2, i used 3d exploration to convert the file to dot.xsi but xsi tells me that he can't import the file because he needs only version 3 or later of dot.xsi format!
what should i do? how to convert the file, with what program, and to what format?

i don't know exactly what the problem can be but you could try first to import your model in softimage3D , save it in softimage3D scene and then import your SI3D scene in XSI !!!!
But be carefull your mesh will be all triangles (Coming from 3DS)...
Hope this could help you!!

well thank's! i found a quicker way to import, i converted the file in to .obj and then used a script to import it to xsi and there cleaned it a bit from the triangles, but thank's anyway!

Even better.... Use the 3dsmax to dotXSI plugin. =)
