For an animated film I want to construct a virtual set of a several real places. For instance, the exterior and front courtyard of Groman's Chinese Theater in Hollywoood, and the exterior of the Rosebowl in Pasadena. I want those sites identifiable.
Do property owners have natural or constructed trademark rights to their buildings/sites?? In other words, would I need permission to include virtual reference to their real property in my commercial film?
What about more "public domain" sites, such as the Washington Monument? Could I include a fly-around of that without obtaining permission?
Didn't know it this was the correct formun to post this....
Thanks,
