I'm posting this for a fellow medical illustrator friend of mine. Can anyone give some advice?
Many thanks!
Dave

[For those of you using After Effects,
Does anyone know an easy way to distort an illustration, to show
peristalsis, for example? I have just created the original artwork (a piece
of bowel in cutaway), and I am currently researching how I can accomplish
that type of animation.

To see a mock-up of what I need to do, click here.

Thanks in advance for you time and suggestions.

Try either Mesh Warp or Liquify effects, both should be able to handle this well, given the source's resoluton is adequate.

Many thanks! I'll let my friend know. I'm 100% inept in AE...best to ask to pros!

Cheers,
D
