Thought you were just kidding, are you going to post new progress?....I think that it isn't easy for some people to comment, I mean, your work is really good.
Come on! we need to see quality stuff!

Sorry I missed this!
Very nice so far. Also a fan of the spinosaur family (actually anythimg that eats meat!).
I thought they had more teeth than yours have. Expecially up front after the "fish notch".
Unless I'm thinking of suchomimus?

with the bony ridge over the eye, doncha think maybe it also has a fleshy mass that follows the contours of the bony part and arches over the top of the eye? (kinda like how noses are on people)

Hey Joel, my bad, guess I was feeling a little moody >_<
well heres where its at right now, Im still unsure on the hands, I found them pretty tricky to model..
@bobzilla: I think I read somewhere it had about 92 teeth roughly, mine has 88 I think, I guess I could add some more in though
@Drakaran: I think I know what you mean, I plan to Zbrush this once done later, which means Ill be detailing the ridge areas alot more then how they are now.

Well its been a while since I updated this.. I suck at both rigging and animation, so excuse the little "test"

Im planning to completely restart the textures, to a more rough elephant type skin, rather then loads of bumps.
In the meantime, check out a little mod' a friend of mine has done.
Cheers

Hey great stuff.
I really like the hands and feet especially. The animation is pretty good too, I think that Lightwave really difficult to use for animation, good job.

Ahhh...not the Mustang!
Yeah, I think the texture needs to be a little "smaller", if you know what I mean. If the bumbs and wrinkles are too large, large animals lose their scale a bit.
The area under the neck looks a little odd.
Animation looks cool. I like the steadycam efect.

Just a quick update, Got the "base" of the textures done, I think a lizard-like pattern would go well, but Ill still have to research further to find one that suits.
Its getting really dog slow to render now, the seperate maps for the body and head are both in the 4k region, the scene is a bit fancy for texture tests so Ill probably have to resort to a basic setup from now on.
Next thing that requires my immediate attention is the mouth so Ill look onto starting that.
Like to hear you opinions/crits and any suggestions on where to go with the colour scheme.

I never saw the "finished version of this!
Very nice. The only thing I might change is the colour going from dark to lighter towards the belly. It's seems to be a common thing in the animal/reptile world.

Yo Greg :)
Afraid I never continued with it, kind of lost the momentom and I let it just collect dust in the corner. :(
loving every bit of it, are you going to animate it? cause I read your other friend talking about muscle systems and what now, if so, you may want to try closing the jaw of that thing to make sure the teeth are alligned properly. good work, keep it up and keep us updated!

I notice there is like a weird hump between it's legs... is that where the pubic bone comes down? if it is (like other birds) the stomach should attach to it. IOW the stomach should be much larger than shown.
