my concept, still need a title...
was thinking of a huge battle scene in around the floating city but i think this is just as spectacular

debates...
1:is this spectacular enough??
2:lanscape or potrait, personaly i prefer portrait though my lanscape view seems more balanced...
3: to give her clothes or not to give her clothes. flowing silk like dress or figure hugging armour??
4:lighting, bright sunlight or stary night

I'd go for no clothes, makes her more strong, cause she don't need an armor.
I guess she has more companions in this fight? Also women? Keep it up!

added a few more flyers they might move around in the final image and i might add more. now its time to start colouring. Decided this will be at night the lighting will be more interesting i think...

Yes it can be spectacular, make them attacking those bulding, some actions of defense, what do you want ;)
2:lanscape or potrait, personaly i prefer portrait though my lanscape view seems more balanced...
I see you are creating portrait in landscape :D:D
3: to give her clothes or not to give her clothes. flowing silk like dress or figure hugging armour??
NOO CLOTHES :D
4:lighting, bright sunlight or stary night
Sunlight, or night with lot of artificial light

nice concept, maybe the storm idea is not very clear, I guess they are small fairies and those are raindrops? ...I think you will need something more in the background....to show the scale, or just to make it more spectacular....I don't know...
The skin tone and her figure are very well done, good job:thumbsup:

Good luck, have fun!

Hi, really rather original concept this far in this challenge.. I like the idea, though I think elmasfeo is right about a sense of scale. Maybe you could have some giant leaves in the background, or even an ordinary everyday object like a watering can, there's enough floating cities to last a lifetime in this challenge all ready.

I'd watch the anatomy if you stick with this, I'm no huge expert myself, admittedly, but her legs on the one closest to us look a little rubbery. And maybe have the raindrops not looking quite as much like comets blazing, rain falls with only its own weight propelling it, so it's more likely to look like a distorted raindrop. Other than that, I'd really encourage you to stick with this, with the little tweak here and there, it could be really neat!

trying sugestions from elmasfeo and zepyhri i quite like how its turning out... il going to put more drops and some splashs on the leaves...
question the leaves are from a pic can i use them or do i have to create them myself???

I like the image in general, especially the leafy areas of the background. You may want to experiment a bit with the overall color tone. Right now, the image looks a little flat color-wise (specificially the grey tones in the upper left and in the highlights of the hair. Perhaps pushing the whole thing to either the warm or cool side might work for you.

You may want to work out the flesh tones some more to gib\ve it a little more transsparency, Maybe adding some purple and vermilion red to the skin will help, using the purple in the shadow, holla, will check back lata!

The skintone looks much better now. try get yourself good references for hands and feet, they actually need still a bit of work. if you're worried to make changes, simply add a new layer and paint on it, so you can always go back til you have a version that works. since it is raining, you can add hard specular highlights on skin as well as hair, means, 2 highlights, a soft one from regular skin/hair and a glossy one from the water.
judged from their size, your poor fairies better search some shelter or they're risking to get splashed to death... ;)

Keep up the great work, very nice work on the mood and the light yet, once anatomycal issues are nailed down, you're going to have a kick ass piece. keep it up!
