pipjor 09-19-2005, 02:54 PM i get a error message whenever i try to import more than 300 tga stills as a tga squence.
any ideas why? I have a 10,000 frame 3DS tga project i need to import to AE and i really don't want to import in 300 frame incriments.

You can always use a freeware utility called PjBMP2AVI, that converts a series of bitmaps to an AVI movie :)

What exactly does the error message say?
For what it's worth, I've been using sequences of more than 300 frames in AE without any problems what so ever... not sure about more than 10.000, but I don't see why there should be any limit at all.
Let us have some more details!

did you control your render if the tga's all render correct to your HDD ?
if so try to render the frame number 300 again maybe that will fix your problem
I had the same problem a while ago..., in my case it was caused by the fact that I selected all tif's of the sequence at once and in adition checked the import as sequence marker... A friend of mine sugested that I should only choose the very first tif in the sequence an check the marker... ...havenīt had the problem since...

Dusan, thanks your suggestion worked, i too was first selecting all the tga's, but selecting just the first one fixed my problem.
thanks again.
