Really???? I didnt see that!!! and thatw as something i was really hoping to see!!!!! Do you know if there is anything written on this or how to do it????

Yeah both Max and Maya have this ability, it's done through the API. If you did a complete install of Maya you can find examples and info in the $maya/gifts/hwshaders directory. If XSI's implemetation doesn't require you to write a plugin shader that would be impressive, but not being an XSI user I have no idea how it's done in XSI.

yeah i didnt install the shader library (as its just more room used and nothing that i really need) ill have to check it out sometime though, thanx

i'm not a maya user, but i guess 4.5

nvidia published info about the cg language after the release of 4.0 as far as i know
