View Full Version : Beginner Tutorials
Alpha17X 09-18-2005, 11:11 PM I know theres already a pinned thread with tutorial links but they honestly aren't useful to a beginner in any capacity. They skip steps and often start in the middle of a project with no explanation as to how they got that far. They seem more like intermediate to expert tutorials.
Are there ANY tutorials out there that start from the absolute beginning and explain every inch of every step from start to finish?
I'm finding this program to be very very unfriendly and very hard to get into.
Any help, such as links would be appreciated.
Until then I'm pretty much blindly pressing buttons and reading the help menus.

I'm having the same problem with this program aswell. There's just not enough decent beginner resources on the net.
Here's a better Adobe link, although the main tutorials link from there is down at the mo for some reason. Try the animated text.

I purchased a book, summit like After Effects 6.5 Classroom? I dunno, if your at Uni, hut the library, the examples that you create look wank, but as soon as you stop and start a proper project, then you realise that you know a hell of a lot, from the above book I created the movie from link... (minus the green bit, thats done in 3DS max)

Try some tutorial videos instead of docment tutorial first, by not many of them. is a step by step training video you wouldn't get lost. visit creavtivecow.com, saw a number of them.
By if u need start from beginning, try Total training give u a very detail understanding of AE.
