This is just fantastic!!! When can we see this movie here? I really dig the puppet/toonlike style, it´s always great when 3D comes to look like traditional animation...
makes me look VERY forward for the final piece!
thats very nice
im eager to watch the real thing
good luck with it :)
these r some cool stuff u have here? Are this your personal project or commossioned work? can't wait to c the whole thing....u have any trailer released yet?

Hi!
thanx for the nice replies!:)
Milivoj Popovic(my bro`) and me just finished the pre-production, which included the synopsys, script, storyboard of all the scenes in the movie, modeling of the main characters (i will be adding one more pic to this thread tommorow hopefully) and modeling of the main props- aswell as some quick animations and still shots to define the look and feel of the movie-
we are now trying to get some funding for the short with these things, and this we need mainly cos in my studio there are no character animators so we need to hire outside help for this-
Once again, thx for the cool replies!

@pkok: the short is not commisioned (we are hoping the ministry of culture might give us some money:) )
as for the trailiers, im affraid we are still at the beggining of the project- but with some luck and some good animators it might come sooner then i predict:)

hi lillmagnus
we just finished the pre-production, and this was our goal,
now, we need to regroup and set new deadlines:)
main problem is the animation- in our studio we mostly do modeling, texturing, but no character animation, so we need to find money to hire outside animators for this project or
find someone who finds the project (like we do:) ) interesting enought to work just for the credits (or any future profit that the short might generate)-
we plan to show this short on all the major festivals, since i teach at the art academy and know people that would assist in this-
so, if anyone is interested feel free to email us at veljko@lemonade-p.com for any info :)

The stile and characters looks great!
Tell as more on how did you get that great animation style.Do G2 2d shader have something to do with it or you mostly rely on textures and surface editor?
The imitation of hand drawn charecters is so cool!
Post more!
P.Sssst. Moraju vam to odobriti!

:) thx for asking,
the final look is a result of a few layers blended in photoshop (or aftereffects) but the main thing is that i render two versions of every shot- one is the hand drawn layer which i get with cellshader and some other rendering tricks- you can find a rather cool tutorial about these things here http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?t=33682&highlight=hand+drawn
the other layer i render regulary (with soft shadows). i overlay these things and then incooperate them into the background. the moon image background was rendered out in LW with volumetric lightening to get the streaks of light..its alot ot alchemy to get the right result:))
p.s. nadam se da hoce!:)
