I watch the DSG every day more then 3 times.I read all the wip threads and post, and i hold my eyes on the new chalange. Normaly i have a lot of great ideas, but sometimes i cant make what i really wanted to do.

Please help me, i WANT TO paint!!!

Maybe i just need more feedback or something. Help, please help...

I'm no shrink, but are you stukc in a vicious downward spiral?

Sounds like it to me. You should observe what it is that gets you down, find that out and yuou can probably find a way around it. Like this for instance, when you have an idea be attentive to whjat else concerns you or occupies your thoughts, and find out what stops you from seeing it.

I have a really cloudy mind often and I find actually approaching it like that really helps to identify hidden 'issues'. Well good luck anyway. :)

I never have this problem, i can think of hundreeds of things to paint, but i cant paint. I tend to get bored at every attempt because im not getting anywhere. My creative process usually if not always, starts with the title.

Open Figure Drawing Workshop, opening tomorrow or Monday. :)

Anatomy Forum Links (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=273525)

Or, why not paint 25 self~portraits and post them on your own thread in the Anatomy Forum?

Cheers, :)

I would suggest doing loads of thumbnailing and quick sketching and then just moving on.
Just doing quick sketches and learning from each one is great. No pressure to make extreme details, but focus on important aspects in each one. Stuff like composition, proportions ect.
Just going loads of that and gradually you would be able to get into detail quicker ;)

Just a suggestion that i think would work, but hey what do i know.. i have trouble finding enough time to keep painting ;D

Wow, You guys are really kind! Thanx for the replys!

jmBoekestein: You R shrink! :) Well I must say yes, the "Spiral" cought me... U are right, i should make order in my mind when i want to paint.

dioxide: Maybe you misread my post. I have the same problem u have there. I have ideas, but i cant achieve them somethimes and that is a big disappointment for me. So next time i have less and less ideas... or something.
Rebeccak: U made me laugh :D U have strange cool ideas. I was browsing in your links and i got a lot of ideas. The skull making is a bit big project for me in my level, but maybe i will try some of your tutorials to get better levels.

Swoop: You Guy you know what i am really want. I want to thumbnailing. I make a lot of doodling in my sketchbook as well, maybe is sould start to sketch in photoshop too! Just these little studies. Thanx!!!

So, I've got feedback and a lot of inspiration from yo' Thanx again. I start to make something now, and test my abilities :D

Here is what i just did.. i woke up .. spent like 10 mins in bed rumbling an idea in my head around. A swamp with some small island thingie and a hut on it. Lots of vertial trees...
Perhaps a fireplace on the island, and hut.
A guy holding a staff at a 45 degree angle in fron of the fire... and perhaps a foreground element of somebody on a board comming that way ...

Then isntead of forgetting about it i booted up photoshop and quickly sketched out the compoosition and made notes in the image on what i imagined in the beginning.

Now i will get back to the image later on ... :D Kinda already got started.. then it's easier to get to working later on :D

Very very nice dude.. i especially like the landscape... work on the rocks with some light/shadow (good texture brushes for that perhaps) and it would have even more depth :D Great job ! :D

I love the scarecrow!

Souces? Myth, legend, proverbs, the grimm brothers, aesop, cnn, a coffe shop, your kitchen table, the mirror ...

you should start up a sketch group, even if you are the only memeber - drawing from life is a great way to stay in drawing shape, and can give you lots of ideas.

Brutal Monk - It looks like you're out of the spin already!!

I have similar periods where i find that achieving the image that is in my head isn't coming out. Had it for one of my ideas for the challenge where i simply couldn't visualise one part properly, and I think like its already been said, that making lots of small quick studies gets you rolling again. I generally find that the process is self-reinforcing, so once you get rolling on quick ideas, more will come, and you will strike one that jsut "feels" right that you perhaps can take a shot at working up in more detail.
But good luck - It looks like its laready coming back!

Oh! My God! So many kind words! Thanx very very much!

You gave me a lot of great idea to do! I still have problems when I take my pan and try to doodle down what i am really want. The position and the others. But this is only quastion of practise. I would like to learn some new technics, and the painting of a robot. Im a fan of Goros robots... well they are awesom.

I made this afternoon a quick clone. I tried to make a darker version of my older picture:
The old version:

The new one ( this has less detail... ~20-25 min)
