This is a shading test for an ice cube that I did at the job during breaks, with some animation included. My goal was to create an ice effect using just standard shaders, without resorting to Mental Ray artifacts (by this I am not questioning MR, just looking for a suitable shader for cases when rendering time is at stake).
You can see the animation here (http://usuarios.lycos.es/fabianfucci/animacion/ice_cube.avi) (or right-click and choose "Save Target As...").
Comments and critique are welcome.
Software: Maya 6.5
Render: Maya Software
Resolution: 640 x 480
Frame rate: 25 fps
Video codec: Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2
