Title: Shipzm 01
Name: Thierry Doizon
Country: France
Software: Photoshop

Hi,

during my spare time I fill a lot of pages of spaceships, just shapes and ideas, sometimes I look at them and pick one up in order to make an illustration. Here is a speedpainting (~2h) for fun, made with PS-CS and custom brushes. I'll post some more later. C&C welcome.

That's a nice unusual concept. Reminds me of those deep-sea diving pods.

Very nice camera angle and concept work. I liked the loose sketch.

Your work caught my eye because of the very nice value and color contrasts you've used. They give the whole picture a good bit of visual weight. I'm undecided where the craft is hanging in 3D space though. The man on the ground seems to be looking straight at it, but I think the shadows indicate the ship is hovering above the ground. I'd do a quick fix by tilting the man's head back a little. (My opinion though.) I wish I could do that well for just 2 hours work! :)

Great, as usual. I just love that orange reflective material. The reflection is perfect. Plus you're too quick and it makes me jalous.
Please show us more!
Salut.
