I feel like i'm in the same boat as everybody else asking questions in this forum. I have no idea how to texture this model. I need a tutorial or just some help. When i go to Photoshop i don't know what else to do besides add some noise and some small dots for skin marks. Everything besides that is beyond me? Please give me some help on how to paint a decent photo real looking map for this model: and btw i know the lip is messed up a bit, fixed it just didn't have time 2 upload that one-lightwave crashed :( http://www.geocities.com/oofmeroo/front03.jpg

This is gonna sound like a cheap way out, but i highly recommend that you purchase the book "digital texturing and painting" by Owen Demers.

It covers not only practical stuff but also theortical. You may need to invest in a tablet.

My other recommendation is buy a couple of magazines that have big pictures of peoples faces.

There is also a tutorial covered within "Inside Lightwave 7" by Dan Ablan. Its fairly limited, but the section where he paints a human face should get you started.

Also have a look around for the making of final fantasy: the spirits within. That has some excellent references within it.
