Hi have a little problem. I dont know how to effectively model a portion of French fries. I know to use primitive box, but what to use to make a heap. Reactor??? Is anything else to use? I dont want to place fries one by one.
Ok well I just had a quick play with some ideas for you.
Make a box, with a few height segments, then add a bend modifier, to give more of a fry feel. Then add a scatter modifier from the compound objects menu. Make a plane (or some selected polys in a fry container) and then go back to your fry and to scatter. Select a scatter object. (click selected faces only if you have selected some in a container). Then there are all kinds of options. Set how many fries you want, how you want them scattered, whether you want them randomly turned a little bit etc etc to add realism. That should keep you entertained for a good five mins.
