CGTalk - 7800GT or 7800GTX

Hi,
I am looking to build a new system.
Is there a big difference in performance between nvidia 7800GT and 7800GTX ? I dont intend to use it in SLI (at the moment)
I dont do any gaming , so this is for 3d only (mainly XSI and Rhino).
It will go with a X2 4400 cpu and probably 3GB Ram (Maybe even 4GB if the price is not too high).
Most of the benchmarks I see are for gaming , so I am not sure how well that extrapolates to 3D.

I have the 7800GT and love the card.. it runs everything perfectly. I found 1 benchmark that was using 3dMax or Maya when I was looking and the difference was minimal (3 seconds) so that is why I went with the 7800GT (that and I got a free Motherboard with it).

If I could remember the stupid benchmark and where I saw it I would have linked it.. it was a timed benchmark of some kind and the difference in time was 3 seconds.. also since I can't remember what the benchmark was I sure as heck don't remember the PC setup so it could have been a slower single processor system so the processor would have been the bottle neck.
