i'm still at the thumbnail sketch phase, there's two on here i'd like to continue with. i want alittle bit of tech stuff and alot of big nature.

here's more sketches, i think i know which one i want to work on though, there is more of a focus on the setting in these. i'm sure it looks like alot of messy squiggly lines but these are really helpful when i'm trying to flesh out an idea.

i've seleted the image i want to work on and i cleaned up some of the lines, i usually don't rely too much on the lines becuase i paint right over it , just want to get some of the elements in so that painting part is alittle easier

I like your sketch choice and idea. Interested to see where this goes with color.

Keep it up,

i want this iamge to look dirty but still beautiful, rather than the old brown as dirty, i'll just use some warmer greens and the clean colors will be the blues and some reds reflecting off the ship and the structures, what i'm saying probably won't make any sense until the next step, i'll update more regularly with that. just to show how i jump around and ad lib as i go on.

here's the first wip, i just layed down some simple colors, i haven't started boucing colors around yet. still figuring out where i want to put t he characters. i have an idea of what i want to do and it will be clearer in the next few updates

Looking good! I know you said that you're still working on characters, so i won't comment on perspective and anatomy, and instead just say that I really enojy your palette in this one. Very moody, and interesting. Good like with the rest of it!

here's another wip, still refining objects. trying to make the objects more reconizable. i'll probably change the shape of the big bus. maybe add some graf.

there's some more progress in the picture, added alittle more to the image and some little more detail.

making the image more grand and adding more details. carly the robot girl has just arrived and her adopted family is waiting for her on the second deck. i might put another figure in the front. keeping the mood alittle warm.

here it is folks the final coloring and image. i've included the foreground figure and waited for the end to put her in. the welcoming crew is up there and the characters are all in place.
