Hello. THanks for all of the replies. K&N, yeah he could get a few xrta horses out of those. lol. Maik box? I didn't know that there was a mail box here. As far as the animation I started the rigging tonight, I used the tutorial off of highend 3d for rigging a pod racer, and I used set driven key so that when you turned the engines or bike, the thursters would automaticly face the correct dirrection, I also wrote an expression for the front props. THey and contract and expand on the the hinges, witch you can see if you look really close, depending on how high it is off of the gound plane. I would really like to start posting my progress with the animation, but I don't have anywhere to post my test animations, if I put them on Geocities, I get kicked out because to many people try to look at it in to little time (bandwith). Let me know if you have any sugestions. THanks for all of your replies. If you don't mind send me an email at

Brian_ellebracht@yahoo.com (home) or
Bellebracht@ne.com (work)

It will be easier to get ahold of me.
THanks,
Brian

I have to wake up in an hour to go to work. I was taking a break from setting this up for animation, so I made this, let me know what you think. Rendered in Maya, text and composition made in Photoshop. THanks,
Brian

Cool work!

The exahust pipes need some more texture work though...

Do you plan to use it for an animation?
Will there be other pod racers?

I am doing this for a matchmoving project. It took a while just to model this one so i think that this will be the only one that I am going to model. At least for right now. THanks,
Brian

Wow that looks great. much better. Have you started animating yet? can't wait to see it. On the image where ET is flying infront of the moon, It looks like his arms are all mangled/broken. I don't know thats the first thing I noticed. Good work keep it up.
